The Truth about Prayer?

The truth about prayer that often goes unspoken is that it only becomes powerful and even enjoyable when you fall in love with its true purpose: communion with God. Many approach prayer out of obligation or routine, but prayer was never meant to be empty words. It is an encounter. It is where intimacy is built, identity is revealed, and heaven touches earth. Before we can understand the depths of intercession, supplication, or spiritual authority, we must first know the One we are praying to.

Prayer is not passive. It is spiritual warfare. It is where battles are fought and victories are secured in the spirit before they manifest in the natural. Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Through prayer, we are given authority to stand firm, to resist the enemy, and to advance God’s kingdom.

Jesus Himself modeled this life. Luke 5:15 to 16 says, “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places to pray.” Even in the midst of miracles and ministry, He prioritized communion with the Father. If Jesus needed prayer, how much more do we?

At The Intercession Camp, we are not just learning how to pray. We are learning how to partner with heaven. We will grow in understanding the power of the Word of God in prayer, because “the word of God is living and active” (Hebrews 4:12). We will step into the authority given to us through Christ, as it is written in Matthew 16:19, “Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

This is a place where prayer becomes a weapon, where strongholds are broken, chains are loosed, and lives are transformed. Through intercession, we stand in the gap for ourselves and others (Ezekiel 22:30). Through supplication, we bring our deepest needs before God (Philippians 4:6). Through persistence, we learn that “the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16).

This camp is an invitation to go deeper, to move beyond surface level prayer into a life marked by intimacy, authority, and power. It is about becoming watchmen, warriors, and worshipers who know how to contend in the spirit and walk closely with God.
